Overview:

Peak Education is Perth's leading high school tutoring company for Year 9 to 12 students. We specialise in WACE Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry. An exciting opportunity exists for a Chemistry and/or Mathematics tutor to join our talented and passionate academic team!

We are currently hiring for multiple roles.

Role Description:

Y11/ Y12 Mathematics Applications, Methods and/or Specialist Tutor and/or Physics/ Chemistry

• Deliver structured weekly group classes throughout the school term (all lesson plans/ materials and resources are provided for you)

• Recognise and flag struggling students to the academic director

Requirements:

• A genuine passion for tutoring and helping others succeed

• Extensive knowledge in WACE Y11/12 Physics and/or Chemistry and/or Mathematics Applications and/or Mathematics Methods and/or Mathematics Specialist

• Excellent verbal, written and inter-personal communications skills

• Ability to commit to an agreed upon fixed day every week throughout Term

• Must have valid right to work in Australia

• Must be able to obtain a Working with Children Check and National Police Clearance

Desirable

• Past high achieving Maths Applications/ Math Methods/ Specialist/ Physics/ Chemistry student (+70% performance)

• University students studying in the field of Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics or General Science or Health Sciences

• Post graduate students, sessional academics

What is most important is that you are a clear, concise and enthusiastic communicator with a good grasp of the subject matter. We will supplement that knowledge with our own teaching materials, and training support!
