Xavier College is seeking a dynamic individual to join the Creatve Arts Department as a Technician. This role is be based at our Senior School in Kew. The successful candidate will be:

• Self-motivated and energetic, with a background in the visual arts
• Able to demonstrate a broad understanding of art mediums and techniques, including ceramics and kiln operation as a priority 
• Known for being rescourceful, organised and effective in identifying priorities and alternatives where necessary
• A positive and professional communicator, known for their grace under (time) pressure and solution focus
• Passionate and accomplished in their field of expertise, enjoying the opportunity to meet students where they are at in the context of their creativity and accomplishment
• Able to adapt and engage with colleagues and students appropriately to help them reach the educational outcomes required
• Able to provide reliable and high quality assistance and support to the team as required to meet deadline and standards
• Able to collaborate with colleagues to contribute to the continuous improvement of work practices and safety standards
• Rigorous in their adherence to Child Safety Standards and obligations under Ministerial Order 1359  
• Respectful of school policies and procedures while contributing to a positive learning environment and College workplace culture
• Experienced in a similar position within the education sector (and experience in Technican areas of supporting a Drama Department will be an advantage).
