About the RoleThis is a key leadership position within the service, contributing to the overall success, quality, and smooth running of a busy early learning environment.

The role plays an important part in supporting a safe, inclusive, and high-quality environment where children, families, and educators feel a strong sense of belonging.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the effective running of the service, ensuring practices align with the National Quality Framework and relevant legislation

  • Promote and embed a strong culture of child safety in everyday practice

  • Guide, mentor, and support educators to build capability and consistency practice

  • Work collaboratively with the Educational Leader to support high-quality programs aligned with EYLF and NQS

  • Contribute to continuous improvement, including the development and progression of the Quality Improvement Plan (QIP)

  • Maintain compliance, documentation, and administrative requirements, including CCS processes

  • Build and maintain positive relationships with children, families, and the wider community

  • Promote inclusion, diversity, and a strong sense of belonging for all children and families

  • Support staffing, rostering and maintenance of educator-to-child ratios

  • Contribute to a positive team culture focused on wellbeing, collaboration, and professional growth

  • Support sustainability initiatives and community engagement

About You

An experienced early childhood leader with a strong commitment to quality education, child safety, and positive team culture.

Skills and Experience:

  • Diploma or Bachelor qualification in Early Childhood Education and Care (ACECQA approved)

  • Demonstrated leadership experience within an early childhood setting

  • Strong knowledge of EYLF, NQS, National Law and Regulations

  • Proven commitment to Child Safe Standards and safe practices

  • Experience supporting and mentoring educators to achieve high-quality outcomes

  • Strong organisational, administrative, and operational skills

  • Knowledge of CCS and Family Assistance Law (preferred)

  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills

  • Current Working With Children Check (WWCC)

  • First Aid, CPR, and relevant certifications (or willingness to obtain)

  • Ability to lead reflective practice and continuous improvement
