Somerset Hills State School is seeking a passionate and proactive Youth Worker to join our team full-time until the end of the school year.
The successful applicant will work closely with students, families and school staff to support student wellbeing, engagement and participation in learning. A key focus of the role will be providing support to students experiencing social, emotional and mental health challenges, as well as assisting students to develop positive relationships, resilience and self-regulation skills.
This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of young people and their families within a supportive school community.
This temporary vacancy is open to Expressions of Interest and any extensions to this appointment will not exceed 12 months.

About the Role:
The Youth Worker will liaise with families, external agencies and school staff to implement strategies that promote student success and wellbeing. They will contribute to individual support plans, facilitate targeted interventions and assist in connecting families with appropriate services and supports.
