Be part of a professional library team providing access to Blacktown’s local history and genealogy collections. You help customers locate records, interpret historical information and navigate digital and print resources, making it easier for the community to research family history and understand the local area.
You manage and improve local history collections, including organising materials, maintaining digital records and supporting conservation. At the public desk, you respond to enquiries, resolve issues and guide customers through specialised resources. You deliver training sessions and support programs that promote local history services.
The role includes supervising staff during service delivery and supporting consistent, high quality customer service across sites. You contribute to library planning, attend team meetings and represent the library in working groups. The work is practical and varied, from shelving and collection upkeep to reporting and service improvements.
This is a full time role with rostered hours, including evenings and weekends. You work with a supportive team, build your expertise and contribute to services the community relies on every day.
