We are currently seeking an innovative and enthusiastic English/History teacher to join our secondary teaching team on a fixed term basis from Term 4, 2026 till end of 2027. The successful candidate must have a commitment to academic excellence and be able to demonstrate their capacity to deliver a rigorous academic program.

Success Criteria:

The successful applicant will:

  • Be able to contribute to the strong academic culture of the school environment

  • Develop and implement high-quality teaching and learning programs

  • Assess, monitor and report on student progress in accordance with College policy

  • Foster a positive, inclusive and respectful classroom environment

  • Contribute to faculty planning, curriculum development and co-curricular activities

  • Uphold the College’s child protection, wellbeing and WHS obligations

  • Immerse themselves in the culture and program of the College which may extend beyond the school day, for instance on a small number of Saturdays for Sport 

  • Undertake other duties as required by the Head of College or her delegate

The successful candidate will possess the following core competencies:

  • High emotional intelligence and a positive, professional approach.

  • High expectations for student learning and behaviour.

  • Ability to work collaboratively and contribute to a team environment.

  • Willing to undergo a bi-annual National Criminal Check

  • Willingness to support the Orthodox ethos and values of the College

The successful applicant will be required to hold:

  • A relevant tertiary qualification.

  • A current and valid work rights in Australia.

  • A current and valid NSW Working with Children Check (WWCC) 

  • eTAMS teacher accreditation 

  • Demonstrated experience teaching Serbian at secondary level

  • Strong understanding of the NSW curriculum and assessment requirements
