Cape Training and Assessing are seeking:
2x HR, HC & MC truck driver trainers/assessors
1x mobile plant trainer/assessor
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Heavy Vehicle Driver Trainer/Assessor to deliver high-quality training and assessments for HR, HC and MC licence candidates. Driver training is new to our scope; therefore, we require industry leaders who can competently train and assess all heavy vehicle units and lead the driver training team.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver practical and theory-based heavy vehicle driver training.
Conduct HR, HC and MC licence assessments.
Ensure compliance with relevant licensing and regulatory requirements.
Promote safe driving practices and industry best practice.
Maintain accurate training and assessment records.
Required Skills
HR, HC & MC drivers licence (open).
Extensive heavy vehicle driving experience (3+ years).
Current police clearance or willing to obtain.
Able to pass a medical & DAS.
Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122 or equivalent).
Certificate III in Motor Vehicle Driver Instruction, Certificate IV in Driving Instruction, Certificate IV in Transport and Logistics OR DoT Assessor qualification (or ability to complete).
DoT Instructor (Desirable).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong commitment to safety and compliance.
Self-driven, motivated and able to manage own schedule.
Highly organised with a strong focus on attention to detail.
Australian citizenship is required.
We are looking for an experienced Mobile Plant Trainer/Assessor to deliver training and assessments across a range of mobile plant equipment. This role is ideal for an experienced operator with a mining or civil background looking to move away from operating into training/assessment.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver classroom-based and on-site mobile plant training and assessment.
Ensure training meets industry standards and compliance requirements.
Promote a strong safety culture and best-practice operating procedures.
Complete and maintain training documentation and records.
Required Skills
Demonstrated experience operating mobile plant equipment, specifically in the civil or mining industries.
Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122 or equivalent).
Certificate III in Civil Construction Plant Operations (desirable but not essential).
Current police clearance or willing to obtain.
Able to pass a medical & DAS.
Sound understanding of workplace health and safety requirements.
Strong communication, mentoring and organisational skills.
Ability to engage with learners from diverse backgrounds.
Australian citizenship is required.
