Knox Grammar School is a leading independent, multi-campus K–12 day and boarding school for boys, located on Sydney’s North Shore. As a Uniting Church school, we are committed to developing young men of Faith, Wisdom, Integrity, Compassion and Courage within a caring and inclusive environment.

We are currently seeking two House Managers – Boarding to join our team on a permanent part-time basis, supporting the wellbeing and daily care of our boarding students.

About The Role

This is a rewarding, hands-on role where you’ll play an important part in creating a positive, supportive home environment for our boarders.

Working closely with the Head of Stage and Boarding Executive Officer, you will help ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the Boarding House and build strong, supportive relationships with students, staff and families.

Working hours (term time):

• Monday to Friday
• 6:30am – 8:30am
• 2:45pm – 5:00pm
• 50 hours per fortnight

Some additional hours are required during key periods outside of term time.

How You’ll Make an Impact

• Supporting the daily care and wellbeing of boarding students
• Assisting with the smooth operation of the Boarding House
• Guiding students through morning and afternoon routines
• Supervising activities, free time and daily life in the house
• Conducting room checks and maintaining high standards
• Building positive relationships with students, parents and staff
• Supporting administration, reporting and communication tasks
• Assisting with boarding events and house activities

What You’ll Bring

You are a warm, reliable and organised individual who enjoys working with young people and contributing to a team environment.

• Experience in, or a genuine interest in, boarding, residential or educational settings
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with students, families and colleagues
• Maturity, discretion and sound judgement
• A proactive, flexible and team-oriented approach
• Strong organisational and communication skills
• Backgrounds in education, nursing or childcare are highly regarded
