Technical & Frontline Training Specialist

Mazda Australia is seeking a Technical Training Specialist in Botany, NSW to help shape the future of our technical capability across the Dealer Network. As we continue to introduce advanced vehicle technologies, you’ll play a key role in delivering engaging, high-quality technical training that builds technician skills and confidence nationwide.
Working within our Learning & Development team and reporting to the Technical Training Manager, you’ll design and deliver Technical, New Model and Masters Program training in collaboration with internal stakeholders, Mazda Corporation and our Dealer Network.
This is a hands-on, varied role that combines training delivery, content development, stakeholder engagement and programme coordination, with regular interstate travel across Australia.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver Technical, New Model and Masters Program training across Australia to Mazda technicians and Dealer Network staff.
Develop, update and enhance technical training materials, assessments and online learning resources.
Conduct training needs analysis and collaborate with stakeholders to support capability development and warranty training initiatives.
Plan and coordinate the annual Technical Training Calendar, including preparation of training vehicles and learning resources.
Ensure safe, compliant training environments and promote technical training programs, including coordination of MazTech skills competitions
About You:
You'll be a technically capable automotive professional who enjoys coaching others and can confidently translate complex technical information into practical, engaging learning experiences.
You'll also bring:
Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology with at least five years' automotive industry experience (Mazda experience highly regarded).
Strong technical expertise, including diagnostics and electrical fault finding.
Excellent communication, presentation and facilitation skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences.
Proven ability to build strong stakeholder relationships and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Experience delivering technical training and/or developing training materials will be highly regarded.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with a current First Aid Certificate, Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain), and the flexibility to travel interstate as required.
