ISN Psychology is a TEQSA-registered and APAC-accredited psychology education provider with a strong focus on professional practice, student capability, ethical judgement, research-informed teaching and innovation in psychology education. Our motto is Thriving minds for an evolving world.
The Opportunity
Reporting to the Head of Student Experience, the Student Liaison Officer provides timely and practical first-contact support to students. The role responds to routine enquiries, supports student engagement activities, records enquiry themes and assists students to navigate approved ISN processes and services.
The role requires a supportive, respectful and confidential approach, with clear professional boundaries. This is not a counselling or academic advisory role, and it does not involve making decisions about student academic matters.
What you will do:
You will:
respond to routine student enquiries through approved channels
provide accurate general information about services, key dates, forms, events and available support
assist students to navigate internal systems, appointments, forms and referral points
maintain accurate records of student interactions, actions and outcomes
support orientation, information sessions, on-campus days, graduations and student engagement initiatives
assist with student communications that promote belonging, participation and awareness of support services
collect, collate and summarise routine student feedback
Support students to access appropriate information, services and referral pathways in relation to wellbeing, safety, complaints, academic progress, personal circumstances, placement matters or other concerns.
liaise with academic teams, student services, placements, clinic teams, marketing and operations
use approved AI tools only for routine communications, de-identified enquiry theme summaries and service improvement tasks, with human review.
What we are looking for:
You will bring:
strong interpersonal, communication and administrative capability
experience in customer service, student services, education, health, community services or a related environment
the ability to communicate warmly and clearly with students from diverse backgrounds
sound judgement, confidentiality and professional boundaries
strong attention to detail and accurate record keeping
practical AI literacy, including safe use, human review and escalation of AI-related risks
the ability to refer complex or out-of-scope matters to the appropriate staff member or service.
Experience with CRM systems, student management systems, Canvas, Microsoft 365, student engagement activities or study in psychology, counselling, social work, education, health or human services will be well regarded.
AI as a professional competency
AI is reshaping psychology practice, research and the academy. ISN Psychology expects academic staff to engage with AI thoughtfully, transparently and critically in teaching, research, assessment and administration. Staff are expected to understand AI limitations, academic integrity risks, research integrity considerations, privacy obligations and the importance of human academic and professional judgement.

The role is based in Kew, Victoria, with some travel as required to other ISN Melbourne locations
