Ballarat Grammar is one of regional Australia’s leading co-educational schools with a proud history dating back to 1877 and a flourishing community of over 1,900 students from 6 months to Year 12, including around 260 boarders.


  • Full-time, ongoing Teacher appointment, with Position of Responsibility
  • To commence Term 1, 2027, or earlier by negotiation
  • Salary range - approximately $138,000 per annum plus superannuation

The Chair of Faculty will develop a profile for the Mathematics Faculty in the Senior School and co-ordinate the development and delivery of the Faculty teaching and learning program for Mathematics.

KEY SELECTION CRITERIA

  • Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) Registration (or ability to obtain), including a VIT approved Teaching qualification.
  • Exemplary teaching practice across classroom settings, collaborative practice and professional reflection in Mathematics.
  • Experience mentoring teachers with a focus on productive conversations which support goal setting, collaborative problem solving and feedback.
  • Experience using and analysing data to lead pedagogical change and ultimately school improvement. 
  • Familiarity with the academic and wellbeing needs of students and strategies to support their holistic development.
  • A proven ability to work effectively, constructively and collaboratively within a team.
