We are seeking an experienced and passionate Centre Director who leads with professionalism, warmth, and a commitment to excellence.

Our beautiful new service is currently under construction, with the successful candidate to commence in the coming months, playing a key role in supporting the establishment of the centre and building a strong team culture from the ground up.

Position Overview

As our Centre Director at Jambra Early Learning you will be at the heart of our centre and a part of the vibrant local community in Bowral, a town known for its strong community spirit and beautiful surroundings.

In this role, you will lead a passionate team of educators, build strong and meaningful connections with families, and ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of our centre. You will play a key role in fostering a warm, inclusive environment where children feel safe, supported, and inspired, while keeping the magic and joy of early childhood learning alive every day.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Leading and inspiring a positive, collaborative team culture

  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation, the National Law, National regulations, policies, and procedures, including child safety, workplace health and safety, and education and care requirements

  • Overseeing day-to-day operations including staffing, rostering, administration, budgeting, compliance, etc

  • Building strong partnerships with families and the community

  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and collaborative centre culture that reflects the values of Jambra Early Learning - Jambra Early Learning

  • Monitor and maintain high standards of health, safety, supervision, and child protection practices across the service

  •  Support educator professional development through coaching, performance feedback, and ongoing training opportunities

  • Manage administrative requirements, including documentation, reporting, and quality improvement planning

  • Promote the centre within the local community of Bowral and support enrolment growth through positive engagement and outreach

  •  Lead continuous improvement initiatives to maintain and enhance service quality and achieve excellence outcomes

 

Child Safety & Child Protection Responsibilities: 

At Jambra Early Learning Bowral child safety is our highest priority. The successful applicant is expected to:

·         Uphold and promote the service’s Child Safe Commitment by fostering a culture where children feel safe, heard, and respected, while ensuring compliance with mandatory reporting obligations and all child protection policies and procedures under NSW legislation.

·         This role involves identifying and responding appropriately to concerns regarding child wellbeing, maintaining professional boundaries, modelling respectful behaviour, supporting educators in implementing child safe practices, and ensuring daily practices, environments, and supervision strategies consistently minimise risk and promote child safety.

 

About You

We are looking for a leader who:

  • Has previous experience as a Centre Director (minimum 1 year experience)

  • Strong knowledge of compliance, governance and best early childhood practise

  • Excellent communication skills, organisation and team mentoring skills

  • A calm, solutions-focused leadership style

  • Approved Early Childhood qualifications and mandatory certifications
