The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced, passionate, and highly capable Centre Director to lead our team and drive the ongoing quality and compliance of our service. This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated early childhood professional ready to step into — or continue in — a leadership role and make a genuine and lasting impact on children, families and educators alike.

About the Role

Reporting directly to the Approved Provider, the Centre Director will be responsible for the day-to-day management and leadership of the service, including:

• Overseeing all aspects of service operations in full accordance with the Education and Care Services National Law 2010 and Education and Care Services National Regulations 2011

• Leading the service's quality improvement journey, including preparation for and participation in Assessment and Rating under the National Quality Standard

• Ensuring a safe, inclusive and nurturing environment for all children in our care

• Building and maintaining strong relationships with families through open, transparent, and proactive communication

• Providing mentorship, support and professional development guidance to the educator team

• Ensuring full compliance with all regulatory obligations, including those under the Children and Young Persons (Care and Protection) Act 1998 (NSW) and mandatory reporting requirements

• Acting as the Nominated Supervisor for the service

• Collaborating with the Approved Provider on strategic planning, staffing, and continuous quality improvement

About You

You are a confident, values-driven leader who puts children at the centre of everything you do. You bring:

• Experience as a Nominated Supervisor or Centre Director, or demonstrated readiness to step into this role

• A thorough working knowledge of the National Quality Framework, National Law and Regulations, and the Early Years Learning Framework

• A sound understanding of NSW child protection legislation and mandatory reporting obligations under the Children and Young Persons (Care and Protection) Act 1998

• Proven ability to lead, inspire, and professionally develop a team of early childhood educators

• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills across families, staff, and the NSW Early Learning Commission

• A proactive, solutions-focused approach to compliance and quality improvement

• High standards of professionalism, integrity, and accountability in all aspects of your work

Qualifications & Requirements

• Approved Bachelor's degree or Diploma qualification in Early Childhood Education, as recognised under the National Law

• Current NSW Working with Children Check (WWCC) clearance

• Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis certifications

• Solid working knowledge of compliance requirements for centre-based care in NSW
