Steiner-Trained Educator – Learning Pod Leader

We are seeking a warm, experienced educator with Steiner training to lead our established Steiner-inspired learning pod on the Mornington Peninsula.

Set on a beautiful working biodynamic farm surrounded by wetlands and open land, our learning environment offers children a rich connection to nature, creativity, and meaningful learning. The setting is an integral part of the educational experience, supporting a curriculum grounded in the Steiner principles of Head, Heart and Hands.

You will be responsible for leading a small group of eight children aged 7–10 years, supporting mixed developmental stages through a rhythm-based approach that honours childhood while building strong foundations in literacy and numeracy.

About the Role

• Lead and facilitate learning for a group of 8 children aged 7–10

• Develop and deliver a Steiner-inspired curriculum

• Foster a nurturing, engaging, and inclusive learning environment

• Integrate storytelling, craft, nature-based learning, and practical activities into daily rhythms

• Work collaboratively with families to support each child's learning journey

About You

• Steiner training and/or significant experience in Steiner education

• Teaching qualifications and registration (preferred)

• Strong understanding of child development

• Ability to create meaningful, engaging learning experiences

• Passion for nature-based education and holistic learning

• Warm, authentic, and collaborative approach

The Position

• 3 days per week (10am–2pm)

• Opportunity to commence with 1–2 days per week initially

• Located on a biodynamic farm on the Mornington Peninsula

• Dedicated indoor classroom space with kitchen facilities
