Due to an internal promotion to a leadership position, we are seeking a full-time Upper Primary Teacher (Year 5 or 6). This is a fixed-term position for an immediate start, through to the end of the 2026 school year. Successful candidates will be well supported by the Head of Junior School, faculty and pastoral leaders, learning support specialists and the wider Junior School teaching team.

As the successful candidate you will:

• Be a driven primary educational specialist, with experience of enrichment strategies highly advantageous but not essential;

• Have an interest in/or experience of collaborative teaching;

• Demonstrate effective pedagogical practices in learning and teaching, by supporting the development and maintenance of positive relationships with students and colleagues;

• Create a dynamic learning environment which is student-centred, supportive, cooperative and aligned with relevant curriculum policies, documents and practices;

• Display excellent knowledge and understanding of contemporary teaching pedagogy by implementing effective, adaptive, inclusive and equitable practices and teaching strategies; and

• Provide effective supervision of students and behaviour management practices.

• Support and model the values, traditions and mission of Catholic and Augustinian education

 To be considered for this expression of interest, you must:

• Have a current Queensland College of Teachers (QCT) Registration;

• Hold a bachelor's degree in education or equivalent qualifications;

• Be confident in using a range of Information Communications Technology skills (ability to learn Microsoft Teams, supporting students’ use of technology to access curriculum, etc); and

• Be committed to Catholic Education, Philosophy and Practice; with a willingness to participate in the College's co-curricular program and attend camps as directed.
