Food Technology Teacher (0.6-0.8 FTE)

Ngutu College is a K-12 independent school in Woodville South Australia redesigning education. We are seeking an experienced Food Technology Teacher to join Ngutu College. The successful candidate will teach Years 5-12 in Food Technology. This is a part-time role (0.6-0.8 FTE). This role offers the opportunity to inspire students through engaging, hands-on learning experiences in Food Technology, and join a community committed to making impactful change in education.
Key Responsibilities
Developing and delivering engaging, inclusive, and culturally responsive programs for Food Technology that align with curriculum.
Design and implement programs that integrate Aboriginal perspectives, inquiry-based pedagogy, and project-based learning.
Build strong and respectful relationships with learners, families and community.
Collaborate with colleagues and families to support learner wellbeing and development.
About You
Essential:
Current Teachers Registration in South Australia.
Able to plan and deliver high-quality learning aligned with the Australian Curriculum and SACE requirements.
Able to deliver practical and theoretical components of Food Technology.
Demonstrated ability of classroom management skills.
Demonstrated ability to build positive relationships with learners, colleagues, and families.
Align with Ngutu College’s values and mission.
Desirable:
Willingness to contribute to other teaching areas across the College.
Essential Clearances and Certificates
Teachers Registration (South Australia)
Working With Children Check (Not Prohibited).
RRHAN-EC (Masterclass) certificate.
First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
