Position Summary

As an Early Childhood Teacher, you are expected to be part of a team which provides high quality early childhood education and care to children.  This includes:

• To guide fellow educators in the day-to-day operation of the assigned room, including providing support to educators and staff within your team in line with relevant regulations, policies and procedures
• In collaboration with the Educational Leader, actively support with the development, implementation and reflection of the educational program to provide a high-quality program for all children and families
• Build and maintain positive relationships with children, families, educators, staff and management to deliver best outcomes for families and children, in line with organisational policies and procedures
• To follow the practice of the AITSL Professional Teaching Standards and ECA Code of Ethics, and keep up to date with current practices and relevant frameworks
• Work with all members of the Wonderschool community and participate in continuous improvement in all aspects of service operations and service
• To obtain and maintain teacher registration in accordance with jurisdiction specific requirements

General responsibilities

• Ensure you have a sound understanding of the expectations outlined in this document to enable work performance to be executed according to our service standards
• Providing ongoing support and assistance to team members in all areas of service operation. At times, this may involve temporarily filling vacant duties to ensure fulfilment of operational requirements 
• Working in accordance with the requirements of the Education and Care Services National Law, the Education and Care Services National Regulations and the National Quality Standard for early childhood education and care services
• Implementing and upholding Wonderschool’s vision, mission, values and individual service philosophy while undertaking all duties
