About the Role

Northside Early Learning Centre is looking for enthusiastic, caring, and experienced Early Childhood Teacher (ECT) to join our team at our Batemans Bay centre.

Our purpose-built centre provides a nurturing, stimulating and engaging environment where children are encouraged to learn, explore and develop through meaningful play-based experiences. We are committed to delivering high-quality early childhood education and care and building strong relationships with children, families and our local community.

As an Early Childhood Teacher, you will play an important role in the planning, implementation and delivery of high-quality educational programs that support each child’s learning, development and wellbeing.

Working collaboratively with educators and families, you will create engaging learning experiences and contribute to a positive, inclusive and supportive environment for children.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, implement and evaluate high-quality, play-based educational programs in accordance with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Framework (NQF).
• Observe, assess and document children’s learning, development, interests and individual needs.
• Develop engaging learning experiences that support children’s cognitive, physical, social, emotional, language and creative development.
• Establish positive and respectful relationships with children and their families.
• Work collaboratively with families to support children’s individual learning and developmental goals.
• Support children’s transition to school through appropriate learning and school-readiness experiences.
• Provide guidance and support to educators and contribute to reflective practice and continuous improvement.
• Create an inclusive learning environment that respects children’s individual abilities, cultures and backgrounds.
• Maintain accurate educational documentation, observations and learning records.
• Ensure practices comply with the Education and Care Services National Law and Regulations, National Quality Standard and centre policies and procedures.
• Participate in staff meetings, professional development and continuous improvement activities.
• Contribute positively to the day-to-day operation and professional culture of the centre.

About You

• Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education or an equivalent recognised qualification.
• Previous experience of at least 1 year as an Early Childhood Teacher is required.
• Current NSW Working with Children Check (WWCC).
• Sound knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Framework (NQF).
• Passionate about providing high-quality early childhood education and supporting children’s learning and development.
• Ability to plan, implement and evaluate engaging, play-based educational programs.
• Strong observation, assessment and documentation skills.
• Ability to develop positive and respectful relationships with children and families.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a professional team.
• Commitment to child safety, inclusion and providing a nurturing learning environment.
• Reliable, organised and committed to ongoing professional development.
