Task & Responsibilities

• Provide a safe and stimulating environment that meets the social, cultural, emotional, educational and physical needs of children and promotes their agency, choices, and influence. 
• Work as a team member and assist in providing a safe and stimulating environment that meets children's' needs and encourages parent participation. 
• Assist in delivering effective and valuable documentation of children learning in accordance with the centres' philosophy and the learning outcomes of the EYLF. 
• Assist in the preparation, implementation and evaluation of developmentally appropriate programs for individual children or groups. 
• Develop and maintain respectful, supportive, collaborative and responsive relationships with children and their families.
• Take account of the different family needs and backgrounds, and encourage their participation. 
• Stay informed about the current trends in policy changes within the sector and assist in developing, implementing and reviewing policies and procedures in accordance with the NQS and National Law, considering confidentiality. 
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of the service through reflective practice and the development and maintenance of the service quality improvement plan, as directed by the director/coordinator and educational leader.
