Our Client in Red Hill requires the services of an experienced Early Childhood Educator.

Position Overview:

The Early Childhood Educator will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging, age-appropriate learning experiences that support the development, wellbeing, and early learning of children in care. This includes observing and documenting children’s progress, creating a safe and nurturing environment, and implementing activities that encourage curiosity, creativity, and social development.

The Early Childhood Educator will also play an important role in building positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues, contributing to a welcoming and supportive centre culture. Through high-quality educational practice, teamwork, and participation in centre activities and events, the educator will support family engagement and contribute to the continued growth and positive reputation of the centre.

Task & responsibilities

• Plan and implement engaging, age-appropriate learning experiences that support children’s development and wellbeing.
• Create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment for all children.
• Observe, assess, and document children’s learning and development.
• Support children’s social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development through play-based activities.
• Build positive and respectful relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
• Communicate regularly with families about children’s progress, learning, and wellbeing.
• Work collaboratively with the team to maintain a positive and supportive centre culture.
• Maintain a clean, organised, and stimulating learning environment.
• Follow centre policies and procedures, including health, safety, and supervision requirements.
• Participate in team meetings, professional development, and centre events.

Qualification & experience

• Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (or currently studying towards one).
• Experience in an early childhood education setting is preferred.
• Knowledge of child development and play-based learning practices.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with children, families, and colleagues.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a supportive team environment.
• Current Working With Children Check and First Aid/CPR (including Anaphylaxis and Asthma management) or willingness to obtain.
• Passionate about creating a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment.
