PENNANT HILLS PRE-SCHOOL KINDERGARTEN (PHPS), located in NSW 2120, is looking for an Early Childhood Educator (Room Leader). As an Early Childhood Educator (Room Leader), you will lead your room with care and confidence. You will create a safe, warm and fun learning space for children and work closely with your team and families every day, and will proudly and competently perform the following duties:

KEY DUTIES:

•    Provide daily care and appropriate supervision to ensure children’s safety and wellbeing.

•    Assist with preparing and setting up learning resources and recreational equipment.

•    Deliver high-quality programs aligned with the EYLF and NQF.

•    Promote positive behaviour and help children develop healthy and meaningful relationships.

•    Plan and deliver engaging activities that support children’s learning and development.

•    Engage children through reading, games, and supervised indoor and outdoor play activities.

•    Support children’s daily routines and personal care needs, including meals, rest times and hygiene practices.

•    Document and celebrate children’s learning and developmental milestones.

•    Lead and support other educators.

•    Ensure compliance with the National Quality Standard (NQS), Education and Care Services National Law and Regulations, and service policies.

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

•    Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (or higher qualification).

•    At least one year of work experience in a childcare setting, preferably in a similar role or with comparable responsibilities.

•    Love working with children and supporting their learning

•    Strong communication and teamwork skills

•    Commitment to creating safe and inclusive environments

•    Current Working with Children Check

•    Emergency First Aid & CPR in ECEC
