$35 - $40 Hourly

We are currently seeking a Lead Early Childhood Educator to join our team on a full-time basis. The suitable candidate will be required to live and work in the Northern Territory; this is not a FIFO position.

Benefits

Remuneration: $35–$40 per hour depending on experience (based on a 38-hour work week) + superannuation.

Task & responsibilities

Responsible for designing and implementing a high-quality, inclusive and engaging early childhood education programme that fosters the physical, emotional, intellectual and social development of children
Lead and mentor educators, providing guidance on best practices and professional development opportunities
Assist in recruitment and training of new team members
Build and maintain strong, respectful partnerships with families to support their involvement in their child's education
Communicate regularly with parents/guardians about their child's development and the centre's activities
Support the Centre Director in day-to-day operations and administration, including rostering and resource management
Manage budgets and resources effectively to support programme delivery.

Qualification & experience

Diploma in Early Childhood Education
At least two (2) years in an early childhood education setting, with leadership responsibilities
In possession of a Northern Territory Working With Children Clearance (Ochre Card)
Obtain a current National Police Check
Provide first aid in a childcare setting (HLTAID012)
Strong knowledge of the EYLF, NQF and relevant regulations
Excellent communication, organisational and problem-solving skills
Passion for early childhood education and a commitment to fostering a positive learning environment.
