We are currently seeking a Lead Early Childhood Educator to join our team on a full-time basis. The suitable candidate will be required to live and work in the Northern Territory; this is not a FIFO position.


Benefits

Remuneration: $35–$40 per hour depending on experience (based on a 38-hour work week) + superannuation.


Task & responsibilities

  • Responsible for designing and implementing a high-quality, inclusive and engaging early childhood education programme that fosters the physical, emotional, intellectual and social development of children
  • Lead and mentor educators, providing guidance on best practices and professional development opportunities
  • Assist in recruitment and training of new team members
  • Build and maintain strong, respectful partnerships with families to support their involvement in their child's education
  • Communicate regularly with parents/guardians about their child's development and the centre's activities
  • Support the Centre Director in day-to-day operations and administration, including rostering and resource management
  • Manage budgets and resources effectively to support programme delivery.

Qualification & experience

  • Diploma in Early Childhood Education
  • At least two (2) years in an early childhood education setting, with leadership responsibilities
  • In possession of a Northern Territory Working With Children Clearance (Ochre Card)
  • Obtain a current National Police Check
  • Provide first aid in a childcare setting (HLTAID012)
  • Strong knowledge of the EYLF, NQF and relevant regulations
  • Excellent communication, organisational and problem-solving skills
  • Passion for early childhood education and a commitment to fostering a positive learning environment.
