We are seeking a passionate and qualified Room Leader to join our dynamic team. As a Room Leader, you will play a vital role in shaping the educational experiences of young children while ensuring their wellbeing and development.

Task & responsibilities

As a full-time Room Leader, you will be responsible for:

Assisting in planning and delivering engaging, developmentally appropriate activities aligned with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF).
Providing direct care and supervision to support children’s social, emotional, and physical development in a nurturing environment.
Supporting the lead educator in implementing daily routines and activities within your designated room.
Observing and documenting children's behaviour and progress to assist with planning group activities and learning opportunities.
Building warm, supportive relationships with children, families, and team members to create an inclusive and welcoming atmosphere.
Ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of all children by maintaining a clean, hygienic, and stimulating environment.
Following Centre policies and procedures to meet National Quality Standards and support regulatory compliance.
Participating in staff meetings and professional development to enhance knowledge and skills in childcare practices.
Assisting children with challenging behaviours using positive and age-appropriate strategies under the guidance of senior staff.

Qualification & experience

The minimum requirements for the position are:

A Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (or higher qualification).
At least 12 months of proven experience working with children aged 0-6 years in an early childhood education setting.
Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a team of educators.
Current Working with Children Check.
First aid qualification, including CPR, asthma, and anaphylaxis management.
Thorough knowledge of the EYLF, National Quality Standards, and relevant regulations.

We are a privately owned boutique long day care centre, providing care for children aged six (6) weeks to six (6) years. Our centre operates from 7:00 am to 6:00 pm, Monday to Friday. It is designed to offer the highest possible standard of care and education for children.
