Task & responsibilities

  • Support our educators to implement programs, follow the EYLF and share the excitement of child-led discovery. 
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive, age-appropriate curriculum that promotes the physical, social, emotional, and cognitive development of young children.
  • Incorporate play-based learning and ensure alignment with state and national early childhood education standards. 
  • Create and maintain a safe, organized, and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Manage classroom resources effectively and ensure materials are accessible and engaging for children. 
  • Mentor and support educators, providing guidance on best practices in early childhood education.
  • Conduct regular observations and evaluations of teaching practices, offering constructive feedback and professional development opportunities.
  • Conduct ongoing assessments of children’s development and learning.
  • Use assessment data to tailor instruction to meet the individual needs of each child. 
  • Foster strong relationships with families, maintaining open and regular communication.
  • Provide families with updates on their child’s progress and development and offer resources to support learning at home.


Qualification & experience

  • Hold a Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care with a minimum of 12 months of experience as a Child Care Worker / Lead Educator.
  • Current First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis, and Asthma Certificates. 
  • Current Child Protection Certificate.
  • Valid Working with Children's Check.
  • Australian Working Rights. 

Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to implement innovative and unique programming and practice for the team.
  • Team player who is open to different views, receptive to feedback, and reflects upon best practices.
  •  Strong organizational and time management skills.
