Task & responsibilities

• Ensure Bronte Kids Preschool the successful planning, implementation and reflection of a program for the service that is reflective of an approved learning framework; the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF)
• Assist in the collection, recording and evaluation of children’s records and observations, as required under the National Quality Standard and regulatory authority and ensure all educators within the service comply with these requirements
• Be responsible for management of the day-to-day operation of the assigned room, including providing leadership and support to educators and staff within your team in line with relevant regulations, policies and procedures
• Provide education and care for babies, toddlers and children
• Lead the preparation of materials and equipment to support children’s learning and development 
• Provide experiences to support children’s play and learning
• Develop positive and respectful relationships with children
• Ensure the health and safety of children 
• Support and supervise the daily routines of children 
• Support the inclusion of all children
• Support children to develop cooperative behaviour
• Guide educators in providing care and supervision for children.
• In collaboration with the Educational Leader assist with the development, implementation and reflection of the educational program to provide a high-quality program for all children and families
• Build and maintain positive relationships with children, families, educators, staff and management to deliver best outcomes for families and children.

Qualification & experience

To be a successful as a candidate, you must have:

• Have a Diploma in Early Childhood from a recognised Institution (as listed on the approved qualification list by ACECQA)
• Current Provide an Emergency First Aid response in an Education and Care Setting qualification
• Current ACECQA approved Anaphylaxis and emergency asthma management training 
• Valid Working with Children Check clearance
• Accredited Child Protection Training

Essential Experience

• Demonstrated knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework and/or My Time Our Place Framework, Education and Care Services National Law (2010), Education and Care Services National Regulations (2011), Family Assistance Law (Child Care Subsidy 2018)
• Have children at the forefront of all decision making 
• Are committed to a strong positive team culture and build respectful relationships with all stakeholders
• Have a strong understanding of your roles and responsibilities under the National Quality Standards
• Build and engage in professional and respectful communication with families, children and educators
• Consider yourself as a lifelong learner and are committed to self-improvement
• Demonstrate a robust understanding of your role as a Responsible Person and a demonstrated ability to show initiative and work under minimal supervision with a commitment to continuous learning
