We are seeking passionate Educators and Lead Educators to contribute to the development and delivery of engaging programs that support the growth and learning of young children.

Child Care Worker / Educator:

Responsible for providing high-quality education, care and supervision to children, supporting their learning and development through play-based experiences, maintaining safe and inclusive environments, working collaboratively with families and educators, and complying with EYLF, NQS and relevant regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality care, supervision and education for children in accordance with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and the National Quality Framework.
• Assist in planning, implementing and evaluating age-appropriate learning experiences and educational programs that support children’s physical, social, emotional and cognitive development.
• Observe and document children’s learning, development, interests and individual needs, and contribute to the preparation of learning records and documentation.
• Establish warm, respectful and responsive relationships with children, families and colleagues.
• Support children’s routines, including meals, rest, toileting, hygiene, transitions and personal care, while promoting independence and self-help skills.
• Maintain a safe, clean, inclusive and stimulating environment that supports children’s wellbeing, learning and participation.
• Encourage children’s participation in indoor and outdoor play, creative activities, language development, physical activities and social experiences.
• Support children with diverse backgrounds, abilities, developmental needs and individual learning requirements.
• Communicate regularly with families and provide appropriate information about children’s participation, wellbeing and development.
• Work collaboratively with educators and other staff to ensure consistent and high-quality care and educational practices.
• Follow centre policies and procedures relating to child safety, supervision, health, hygiene, medication, emergency procedures and incident reporting.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation as required by the service and relevant regulatory requirements.
• Contribute to continuous improvement, reflective practice and compliance with the National Quality Standards (NQS) and applicable South Australian early childhood regulations.
• Participate in staff meetings, professional development, training and other activities that support ongoing improvement in practice.

Lead Educator:

Responsible for leading the educational program for an allocated group of children, mentoring educators, coordinating room operations, maintaining high standards of curriculum planning and documentation, building partnerships with families, and supporting compliance with EYLF, NQS and relevant regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

In addition to the Child Care Worker / Educator duties above:

• Lead the planning, implementation, documentation and evaluation of educational programs for an allocated group of children.
• Take responsibility for ensuring programs reflect the EYLF, children's interests, developmental needs, strengths and individual learning goals
• Provide professional guidance, mentoring and support to educators and other team members within the room or allocated program.
• Coordinate daily room operations, including staff allocation, routines, transitions, supervision and effective use of learning environments.
• Monitor children's learning and development and ensure observations, assessments, documentation and learning plans are completed to an appropriate standard.
• Develop and maintain positive partnerships with families and encourage their participation in children's learning and development.
• Promote a culture of inclusion, respect, child safety and wellbeing within the learning environment.
• Support educators to implement effective behaviour guidance and positive approaches to children's social and emotional development
• Identify areas for improvement in educational practice and contribute to the service's quality improvement planning.
• Ensure room practices comply with the National Quality Standards (NQS), National Regulations, centre policies and relevant legislative requirements.
• Assist the Centre Director/Nominated Supervisor with the day-to-day operation of the service when required.
• Support the induction, training, mentoring and professional development of educators and new team members.
• Lead reflective practice discussions and contribute to staff meetings, curriculum planning and continuous improvement activities.
• Assist with maintaining appropriate staffing, supervision, health, safety and child protection practices.
• Act as a positive role model for educators and promote professional standards, teamwork and respectful workplace practices.

Essential Criteria

• Educator: Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (or ACECQA-approved equivalent).
• Lead Educator: Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (or ACECQA-approved equivalent) with leadership experience.
• Minimum of 1 year’s experience in an early childhood setting.
• Strong understanding of EYLF and NQS.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Current Working with Children Check, First Aid, Asthma, and Anaphylaxis certificates (or willingness to obtain).
• Eligibility to work in Australia and willingness to relocate if necessary.
