About the Role

 

Passionate and dedicated Child Care Lead Educator positions are now available at our newly acquired centre in Boronia Heights. The candidate must have at least 1 year of experience as a lead educator, child care group leader, or closely related roles; willing to supervise programs among children at different stages; and develop strong relationships with children, families, and other staff.

 

With renovations already begun in our centre which includes a full centre repaint, brand new resources and a major an outdoor playscape overhaul, we are excited to make a positive impact on the Boronia Heights community. Key Responsibilities

 

  • Mentor and support educators to deliver inclusive, engaging and developmentally appropriate programs.
  • Study policies and procedures to maintain quality services of the Penguin Early Education.
  • Ensure proper, accurate, and transparent documentation of children’s learning are met and is visible and accessible to families.
  • Enforce confidentiality on children’s records and information.
  • Create a friendly and secure learning environment.
  • Support and coach the implementation of the National Quality Framework including the Early Years Learning Framework.
  • When possible, strictly respond immediately to accidents and unexpected circumstances. Ensure to maintain records accurately. 
  • Maintain healthy and professional relationship with families and the community for the children’s wellbeing.
  • Practice of high level of health and safety standards at all times.

 

 

Requirements: 

 

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience as a lead educator, child care group leader, or related roles with flexible play spaces.
  • Work with children check.
  • Must hold the appropriate qualifications prescribed by National Qualiy Framework.
  • Must hold or be willing to obtain a current suitability card, First Aid/CPR, Anaphylaxis and Asthma training.
  • Possess a genuine desire and respect for early childhood education.
  • Must be willing to work as part of a team to provide high quality care for children.
  • Possess excellent communication, organisation, and time management skills.
  • Must show a clear understanding of all relevant learning frameworks including Early Years Learning Framework, Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guidelines, and the National Quality Framework.

 

Desirable Criteria: 

  • A genuine passion or interest in inquiry based curriculum framework.
  • Experience using OWNA software is advantageous but not essential
  • Experience using Microsoft 365 software is advantageous but not essential
