Adeona Coorparoo is inviting applications from experienced and passionate early childhood professionals for the position of Child Care Worker at its Coorparoo centre. This is a full-time, permanent role offering a salary in the range of $75,000 to $80,000 per annum plus superannuation. The successful applicant will be responsible for providing high-quality, play-based care and education in line with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), supporting children’s learning and wellbeing, and working collaboratively with lead educators and the broader team to maintain a safe, nurturing, and engaging early learning environment.

Task & responsibilities

• Provide a safe, caring, and supportive environment for children 
• Assist with organising and setting up learning materials and play equipment
• Guide children’s behaviour and encourage positive social interactions
• Plan and lead age-appropriate educational and recreational activities
• Engage children through storytelling, games, and creative play
• Monitor children during recreational activities to ensure safety and inclusion
• Support and supervise children’s daily routines, including transitions, meals, toileting and rest times 

Qualification & experience

• Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care (or an ACECQA-recognised equivalent)
• Minimum 12 months of experience in a Child Care Worker in a licensed early learning service
• Solid understanding of the EYLF, NQF, and the National Regulations
• Valid First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis certifications
• Current Blue Card (Working with Children Check – QLD)
• Strong leadership, interpersonal, and organisational skills
• Demonstrated commitment to early childhood education and care best practices
