Task & responsibilities

  • Plan, implement and evaluate high‑quality early childhood education programs aligned with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF)
  • Create engaging, play‑based learning experiences across indoor and outdoor environments
  • Support children’s social, emotional, physical, cognitive and language development
  • Observe, document and assess children’s learning and development to inform future planning
  • Foster safe, inclusive and nurturing learning environments that respect diversity and individual needs
  • Promote children’s health, wellbeing, nutrition and safety in line with regulatory requirements
  • Identify and respond to children’s additional needs, developmental concerns or wellbeing issues
  • Build strong, respectful partnerships with families and communicate children’s progress effectively
  • Collaborate with educators, Educational Leaders and management to maintain high educational standards
  • Mentor and support educators and supervise student teachers on placement
  • Participate in staff meetings, family meetings and professional development activities
  • Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and compliance with the National Quality Framework (NQF)

Qualification & experience

  • Bachelor's degree or higher qualification in Early Childhood Education
  • Valid Working with Children Check
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Passion for working with young children
