The Early Childhood Teacher role at Petersham Early Childhood Education Centre in Petersham isessential for delivering high-quality, inclusive education and care that aligns with the Early YearsLearning Framework (EYLF) and the National Quality Framework (NQF). This position involves planningand implementing engaging, play-based programs that support children’s holistic development whilemaintaining a safe, nurturing, and stimulating learning environment. The role also requires workingcollaboratively with the team and building strong partnerships with families to support each child’slearning journey and overall wellbeing within the centre.

Task & responsibilities

• Designing and implementing inclusive, play-based learning programs that support children’scognitive, social, emotional and physical development
• Observing, assessing and documenting children’s learning and developmental progress, andusing this information to plan and extend learning experiences
• Creating a safe, nurturing and stimulating learning environment that supports children’swellbeing and development
• Supporting positive behaviour guidance and fostering respectful relationships with children
• Working collaboratively with educators, Educational Leaders and Centre Management to deliverhigh-quality education and care
• Communicating effectively with families regarding children’s learning, development andwellbeing
• Ensuring compliance with the National Quality Standard (NQS), Education and Care Services

Qualification & experience

• Bachelor degree in Early Childhood from a recognised University or equivalent
• 1 year work experience
• Strong technical skills in planning and delivering programs aligned with the EYLF and NQF,
• observation and assessment techniques, and compliance with regulatory standards
• Excellent interpersonal skills, including effective communication with children, families and
• colleagues, the ability to build respectful relationships, and a collaborative team-oriented

  approach
