Task & responsibilities

As our Centre Cook, you will:

• Prepare and serve nutritious, child-friendly meals and snacks that meet national nutritional standards.

• Develop and maintain seasonal menus that accommodate various dietary requirements, including allergies and cultural preferences.

• Keep the kitchen clean, organized, and compliant with food safety regulations.

• Manage food stock, including ordering supplies and reducing waste.

• Collaborate with educators and families to ensure children’s dietary needs are met.

Qualification & experience

Qualification & Experience

• Understanding of food safety and hygiene practices (Food Safety Certification is essential).

• ACECQA approved First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis and Asthma Management qualifications

• Minimum Certificate 3 in Commercial Cookery

• Working with Children Check

• A minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role.

• Creativity and passion for creating healthy, balanced meals.

• Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently.

• A friendly, positive attitude and willingness to be part of a collaborative team.
