Creative Hands Shepparton is seeking a qualified and enthusiastic Early Childhood Teacher to join our dedicated team. The successful applicant will be responsible for planning and delivering high-quality educational programs that foster the learning, development and wellbeing of young children in accordance with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and all applicable legislative requirements.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Plan, develop and implement educational programs that support children's physical, social, emotional, intellectual and language development.
  • Design and deliver learning experiences that encourage creativity, curiosity, problem-solving and school readiness.
  • Observe, assess, monitor and document children's learning and development, maintaining accurate records and individual learning plans.
  • Evaluate children's progress and adapt teaching strategies to meet individual learning needs.
  • Promote positive behaviour and support children's emotional wellbeing through appropriate guidance and teaching practices.
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with children, families and colleagues to support children's learning and development.
  • Create and maintain a safe, inclusive and stimulating learning environment that encourages participation and independence.
  • Identify children experiencing developmental, behavioural or learning difficulties and collaborate with families and relevant professionals to provide appropriate support.
  • Ensure compliance with the Education and Care Services National Law, National Regulations, National Quality Standard (NQS), centre policies and all child safety requirements.
  • Participate in curriculum planning, continuous quality improvement initiatives and ongoing professional development to maintain high educational standards.

Skills and Requirements

  • Bachelor of Early Childhood Education (or an ACECQA-approved equivalent qualification).
  • Current Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) registration, or eligibility to obtain registration.
  • Sound knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework (VEYLDF), National Quality Framework (NQF) and National Quality Standard (NQS).
  • Demonstrated ability to plan, implement and evaluate developmentally appropriate educational programs.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with children, families and colleagues.
  • Current Working with Children Check.
  • Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis qualifications (or willingness to obtain prior to commencement).
