Working collaboratively with educators and families, you will help foster each child’s social, emotional, and cognitive development.</p><p style="margin-left:!important;">As the Group Leader you will:</p><ul><li>Create and implement a responsive educational program aligned with the EYLF, children’s interests, and developmental needs</li><li>Follow the learning cycle through observation, planning, documentation, and reflection</li><li>Maintain up-to-date and meaningful documentation, including learning stories, floorbooks, and developmental summaries</li><li>Lead a nurturing and play-rich environment, fostering secure relationships with children and families</li><li>Support children’s social and emotional development, promoting positive behaviours and respectful interactions</li><li>Facilitate engaging learning experiences through stories, music, sensory play, group time, and hands-on provocations</li><li>Respond to children’s cues with warmth, curiosity, and intention — reading, playing, and interacting to support emerging skills</li><li>Oversee daily routines including meals, rest, toileting, and transitions, ensuring calm and consistent practice</li><li>Promote a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment, maintaining high standards for supervision, hygiene, and wellbeing</li><li>Collaborate with your co-educators, sharing ideas, supporting each other’s growth, and contributing to a positive team culture</li><li>Engage in ongoing professional learning, reflection, and team meetings to support high-quality practice</li><li>Build strong partnerships with families, sharing learning, celebrating milestones, and supporting each child’s journey</li></ul><br><h3>Qualification & experience</h3><ul><li>An Early Childhood Certificate III, IV and Diploma recognized at a Children’s Services Employee Level 4 or higher.</li><li>At least 12 months of full time work experience in a related role</li><li>Current First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis, and Asthma Management certifications.</li><li>Strong administrative skills, with a knack for time management.</li><li>Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively and positively with children and adults.</li><li>Proven leadership skills and high self-motivation.</li></ul>
