MTA Institute offers a variety of automotive training solutions at the workplace and our trainers are recruited from industry with a high level of technical experience and passion for the industry.

About the role

We are seeking multiple Full-time Automotive Workplace Trainer & Assessor based in the South Brisbane, Western Suburbs region.

Applicants must be qualified in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology as a minimum.

MAIN DUTIES or RESPONSIBILITIES

• Carry out workplace training and assessment for trainees and apprentices in line with MTA Institute policy and the stated delivery method on a day to day basis.

• Plan and organise training and assessment to produce a high-level learning experience for students in line with current technology.

• Liaise and schedule training times with employers and students.

• Carry out all documentary and reporting procedures as advised by MTA Institute.

• Promote and market MTA Institute services to prospective clients in the automotive industry.

• Make all reasonable efforts to maintain a high technological knowledge of the automotive industry.

• Actively contribute to the continuous improvement of MTA Institute training products and services.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

• Certificate IV Training and Assessment - we can assist with this if you don't already have this qualification.

• Trade Qualification in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology

• Competent in the use of personal computers/devices and up-to-date software applications including Apple, Windows, MS Office and MS Outlook.

Skills and Experience

Minimum of 6 years technical experience as a Light Vehicle Mechanic or similar.
